                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 473
 In Memory
 of
 Chauncey Walter David Hagg
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
 commemorates the life of Chauncey Walter David Hagg, who died
 May 30, 2015, at the age of 37; and
 WHEREAS, Chauncey Hagg was an exemplary citizen who served
 the nation with distinction in the armed forces, and his generous
 spirit and his willingness to help anyone in need were a source of
 inspiration to all who were privileged to share in his life; and
 WHEREAS, While serving on his first overseas deployment
 with the military, he demonstrated his empathy and compassion for
 others by calling on his family to send care packages to his
 fellow soldiers, rather than just to himself; his thoughtfulness
 resulted in countless soldiers receiving a highly appreciated
 "taste of home"; and
 WHEREAS, His beloved wife, Brenda, his parents, Michael
 and Ida, his brother, Michael, and the rest of his large and
 loving extended family were a source of much pride and joy for
 him; and
 WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and generosity, he gave
 unselfishly to others, and his ready laugh and his enthusiasm for
 living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten by his family
 and countless friends; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family of
 Chauncey Walter David Hagg; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Chauncey Hagg.
