| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Chauncey Walter David Hagg, who died |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | May 30, 2015, at the age of 37; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Chauncey Hagg was an exemplary citizen who served |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the nation with distinction in the armed forces, and his generous |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | spirit and his willingness to help anyone in need were a source of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | inspiration to all who were privileged to share in his life; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, While serving on his first overseas deployment |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | with the military, he demonstrated his empathy and compassion for |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | others by calling on his family to send care packages to his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | fellow soldiers, rather than just to himself; his thoughtfulness |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | resulted in countless soldiers receiving a highly appreciated |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | "taste of home"; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, His beloved wife, Brenda, his parents, Michael |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and Ida, his brother, Michael, and the rest of his large and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | loving extended family were a source of much pride and joy for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | him; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and generosity, he gave |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | unselfishly to others, and his ready laugh and his enthusiasm for |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten by his family |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family of |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Chauncey Walter David Hagg; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
