| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Gustavo "Buster" Capuchino, who died |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | March 15, 2019, at the age of 88; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Buster Capuchino was born on December 16, 1930, in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Houston, to José and María Capuchino; he and his beloved wife, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the late Janie Capuchino, were blessed with five children, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Buster, David, Ray, Christina, and the late Robert Jesse |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Capuchino; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | source of much pride and joy for him; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Capuchino was a successful businessman who |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | owned and operated Capuchino's Gameroom and Bar, a longtime East |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Austin institution that hosted countless family celebrations, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | political gatherings, and benefits; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, He was a skilled craftsman who built his own home |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and much of the furniture inside it; he was famous in his family |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and among his customers for his menudo, and he took great |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | pleasure in gardening with Janie and in following the Texas |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Yankees; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, He was a man of few words who nevertheless had a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | tremendous impact on his community, and his generosity, wisdom, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | forgotten by those who were privileged to share in his life; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | family of Gustavo Capuchino; and, be it further |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | memory of Gustavo Capuchino. |
