| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The family and friends of Ann Marie Pycz Efflandt |

| 6 | 6 | | of Georgetown suffered an immeasurable loss with her death on |

| 7 | 7 | | March 10, 2019, at the age of 51; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Joseph and Mary Pycz, the former |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Ann Pycz was born in Harvey, Illinois, on May 25, 1967, and she |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | grew up with nine siblings, Michael, Joseph, Susan, Steve, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Barbara, Mary Ann, John, Kathy, and Nick; she graduated from The |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | University of Texas at El Paso and went on to enjoy a career as a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | speech language pathologist specializing in elderly care and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | rehabilitation; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Efflandt exchanged the vows of matrimony with |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Scott Efflandt, and the couple shared a rewarding marriage that |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | spanned 31 years; as a devoted and supportive army wife, she |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | dedicated her leisure time to serving her community, church, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | fellow military families as her husband's career took them |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | through multiple moves across two continents and nine states; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, No words can diminish the pain caused by a life |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | cut short, but all who shared in the love and friendship of Ann |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Efflandt may find comfort in their treasured memories of this |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | kind and selfless woman; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Ann Marie Pycz |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Efflandt and extend heartfelt sympathy to her family and many |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | friends; and, be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
