| 5 | 5 | | new national Deaf school basketball record for most games won by |

| 6 | 6 | | a boys' or girls' team in a single season; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The Lady Rangers won all the tournaments in which |

| 8 | 8 | | they competed this season, including the Brentwood Best Pack |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Invitational in Austin, the FEAST Patriots Invitational in San |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Antonio, the Leopards Classic in Arkansas, the New Year's Eve |

| 11 | 11 | | Shootout in Boerne, and the Clerc Classic XIX in California; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Each team member contributed to the strength and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | chemistry of the team, which successfully ended the regular |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | season with an undefeated 31-0 record; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The team advanced to the 2019 Texas Association of |

| 16 | 16 | | Private and Parochial Schools Class 4A Final Four and was named |

| 17 | 17 | | Deaf Digest Sports Team of the Year; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Head coach Brian Sipek and assistant coaches |

| 19 | 19 | | Ashley Elliott, Sean Moore, and Sheri Mize emphasized the |

| 20 | 20 | | importance of academic achievement and leadership throughout the |

| 21 | 21 | | year and provided support and encouragement as the players honed |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Team members Janelle Coons, Isadora Egbert, |

| 24 | 24 | | Ashlene Etkie, Ashley Harlicker, Michaela Kelley, Kaci Ketchum, |

| 25 | 25 | | Brianna Leiker, Jewel Rocha, Sunita Schmidjorg, Precious |

| 26 | 26 | | Schwartz, Leila Sicoli, and Jayne Taylor have brought great pride |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
