| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | welcome the members of the Midland County Republican Women to the |

| 4 | 4 | | Capitol for Texas Federation of Republican Women Day, which is |

| 5 | 5 | | being observed April 25, 2019; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Midland County Republican Women was founded |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | in 1960 with the mission of increasing the effectiveness of women |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in government; it is a member of the Texas Federation of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Women; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This exemplary organization is registered as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | political action committee, and through the years, its members |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | have raised funds to support Republican Party candidates for |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | state and local offices and to promote voter education and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | registration efforts; since the club's founding, several of its |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | members have received the prestigious Ten Outstanding Republican |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Women of Texas Award; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Midland County Republican |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Women have been productive and influential voices in the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | electoral process, and it is truly fitting that they receive |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Midland County |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Republican Women on their commitment to public service and extend |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | to them best wishes for a rewarding Texas Federation of |
