| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Carl Ziegler, who is retiring on April 1, 2019, from |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after more than |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 32 years of outstanding service with the state; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Carl Ziegler began his distinguished career in |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | state service in December of 1986 as a clerk with the Texas State |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Library; he progressed to recording and duplicating books on tape |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and soon became a skilled computer support administrator; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, He transferred to the Texas Department of Public |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Safety in 1996 and rose through the ranks to become a domain |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | administrator; in 2008, he joined the Office of the Comptroller |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | of Public Accounts, where he became the subject matter expert on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a wide range of systems, and he was known for his ability to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | maintain and upgrade the complex, high-profile systems with no |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | outages or disruptions in service; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | strong work ethic and his commitment to public service, and he |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | has handled his many responsibilities with efficiency and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | dedication; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, he is respected and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend Carl Ziegler on his exceptional |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | service to the people of Texas and extend to him best wishes for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
