| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Bikers Against Child Abuse, Incorporated, for its |

| 4 | 4 | | outstanding work in creating safer environments for abused |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | children and to join the organization in celebrating Heroes |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Day; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Bikers Against Child Abuse, also known as |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | B.A.C.A., is an international nonprofit organization dedicated |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | to alleviating the fears of abused children by providing them |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | with physical and emotional support when they feel the most |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | vulnerable; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, B.A.C.A. members work with local and state |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | authorities and with mental health professionals to try to reduce |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the trauma experienced by abused children; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The boys and girls who have faced the suffering |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and distress of child abuse consistently demonstrate heroism, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and B.A.C.A. members take great pride in helping them work to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | achieve the rewards offered by a healthy life; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, These young heroes are truly deserving of special |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | recognition for their determination and bravery in facing their |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | trauma; it is truly fitting that a day be set aside to pay tribute |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to their courageous efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of Bikers Against Child |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Abuse, Incorporated, on their exceptional work with abused |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | children and join them in honoring the courageous victims of |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | abuse by celebrating April 28, 2019, as B.A.C.A. Heroes Day; and, |
