| 5 | 5 | | Excellence Recognition Program in Senate District 29; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A respected environmental advocate, Lauren |

| 7 | 7 | | Baldwin has five years of experience in sustainability program |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | management and three years of experience marketing and branding |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | for local businesses; she currently serves as the director of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Sustainability for the Creosote Collaborative, an urban |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | planning, design, and sustainability consulting firm in El |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Paso; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Lauren's dedication to service on behalf of the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | environment and her wealth of expertise played an integral role |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | in establishing the new Environmental Excellence Recognition |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Program; this initiative recognizes individuals and activities |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | that work to protect, improve, conserve, or benefit the local |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | environment; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, As chair of the Environmental Excellence |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Recognition Program Selection Panel, Lauren helped to identify |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | outstanding community members who exemplify the highest ideals |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of environmental stewardship; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Lauren Baldwin has helped the City of El Paso to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | establish new and innovative paths for energy savings and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | conscientious land use, and she is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | recognition for helping to honor the environmental champions in |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | her community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend Lauren Baldwin for her commitment to |

| 30 | 30 | | protecting the environment and for her leadership as chair of the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Environmental Excellence Recognition Program Selection Panel; |
