| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, May Lofgreen is retiring as chair of the board of |

| 3 | 3 | | directors of United Heritage Credit Union on April 23, 2019, |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | drawing to a close 36 years of service to that institution; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A member of UHCU since 1977, Ms. Lofgreen has |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | served on the board since 1983, and she has been chair since 1994; |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | over the course of her exemplary tenure on the board, she has also |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | held the roles of vice chair and secretary/treasurer; she is a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | graduate of the Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | where she earned designation as a certified credit union |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | director; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In addition, Ms. Lofgreen was instrumental in the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | creation of the United Heritage Charity Foundation; since its |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | establishment in 2003, the foundation has distributed more than |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | $1.7 million to such worthy causes as children's organizations, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | cancer research, education initiatives, and veterans programs; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | as chair of the foundation, she initiated the Auto Raffle in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 2011, which has since raised more than $466,000; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Lofgreen attended the University of Florida |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and the College of Charleston, and she has worked as an executive |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | assistant for the director and administrator of The Archives of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the Episcopal Church and as treasurer, business manager, and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | director of operations for the Historical Society of the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Episcopal Church; in all her endeavors, she enjoys the love and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | support of her two daughters and three grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, May Lofgreen's leadership, dedication, and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | professionalism have greatly benefited United Heritage Credit |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Union, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her notable |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | record of service; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate May Lofgreen on her retirement |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | from the United Heritage Credit Union board of directors and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | happiness; and, be it further |

| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
