| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Capstone Project students from the Bush School of |

| 4 | 4 | | Government and Public Service for their outstanding service to |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | members of the 86th Legislature; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Bush School of Government and Public Service, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | located on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | was founded in 1997 in line with President George H. W. Bush's |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | philosophy that public service is a noble calling; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Capstone Project is a graduate program that |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | offers students the opportunity to address real-world issues, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | often by working with a government agency or nonprofit |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organization; participants are called upon to demonstrate |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | teamwork, research skills, writing ability, and ingenuity; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The students working with the 86th Legislature |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and their assignments are Elizabeth O'Connor, in the office of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Senator Donna Campbell; Court Manske, in the office of Senator |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Brandon Creighton; Samantha Wiseman, in the office of Senator |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Jane Nelson; Sydney Cerza, with the Senate Health and Human |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Services Committee; Leah McKinley, in the office of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Representative J. M. Lozano; Grace Kelly, in the office of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Representative Gary VanDeaver; and Zack Cochran, in the office of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Representative Diego Bernal; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, These young men and women are truly deserving of |

| 25 | 25 | | special recognition for their hard work and their dedication to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | learning about the issues and problems facing our state and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | nation; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Capstone Project students on |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | their commitment to public service and extend to them best wishes |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | for success in their future endeavors; and, be it further |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
