| 3 | 3 | | recognize Cleaning For A Reason and to proclaim April 24, 2019, |

| 4 | 4 | | as Cleaning For A Reason Awareness Day in Texas; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Cleaning For A Reason is a nonprofit organization |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | that partners with residential cleaners throughout the United |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | States and Canada to offer free in-home cleaning to help women |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and men who are battling cancer; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since its founding in 2006 by Debbie Sardone, the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | organization and its partners have donated more than $10 million |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in free services and have helped more than 30,200 women; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In 2017, Cleaning For A Reason was adopted by ISSA |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Charities, the worldwide cleaning industry association that |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | sponsors and supports charitable and social programs directly |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | related to cleaning; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Founded in Texas and based in Lewisville, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Cleaning For A Reason works with more than 1,200 professional |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | cleaning companies and continues to grow and gain support; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The organization's volunteers ensure that the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | houses of individuals who are being treated for cancer are taken |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | care of so cancer patients can focus on their health; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend all who are associated with Cleaning |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | For A Reason and extend sincere best wishes to them for a |
|---|
