| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Argyle Fire District crew members, whose quick |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | thinking and decisive action saved the life of a Northlake |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | citizen; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On March 30, 2019, the Denton County Sheriff's |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Office dispatch center received a 9-1-1 call regarding an |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | individual who had fallen to the floor and was unconscious in a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | residence; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Crew members responding to the call were |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Lieutenant Mon Nguyen, driver-engineer Chad McInis, firefighter |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Brent Barnfield, firefighter-paramedic Zachary Haas, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | firefighter-paramedic Jared Wells; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Upon arriving at the scene, the crew discovered |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the unconscious citizen was without a pulse; under the leadership |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | of lead paramedic Zachary Haas, crew members provided aggressive |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | advanced cardiac life-support treatments until the victim |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | regained a pulse; the patient was then transported to a Denton |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | hospital and is currently healing at home; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, These exemplary first responders are truly |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | deserving of special recognition for their courage and for saving |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the life of a fellow citizen; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend these outstanding Argyle Fire |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | District members for their heroic efforts; and, be it further |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the crew as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. |
