| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Erica Renfro for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, |

| 4 | 4 | | which is being presented to her by the Girl Scouts of Northeast |

| 5 | 5 | | Texas on May 19, 2019; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Few Girl Scouts attain this distinguished award, |

| 7 | 7 | | as the Gold Award is the highest level of achievement in the Girl |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Scout program; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Girl Scout program helps girls to develop |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | leadership and organizational skills and encourages them to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | commit to community service; girls working toward the Girl Scout |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Gold Award gain valuable experience that will contribute to their |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | future success; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, To earn the Gold Award, Erica met a series of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | requirements that demonstrated her leadership abilities, and she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | designed and conducted a service project that will have a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | positive and lasting effect on her community; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Erica has brought honor |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and she |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | deserves recognition for her diligence and her outstanding |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Erica Renfro on earning the Girl |

| 24 | 24 | | Scout Gold Award and extend to her congratulations on her |

| 25 | 25 | | exemplary accomplishment; and, be it further |
