| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dell Technologies in Round Rock, which is celebrating |

| 4 | 4 | | 25 years of success in 2019; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Dell Computer Corporation broke ground on its |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Round Rock campus on August 2, 1994; the company is marking 25 |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | years in the Central Texas community with an internal celebration |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | on July 22 and a public celebration at the Round Rock Express game |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | on August 15; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Today, Dell Technologies employs 16,000 Texans, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and its economic activity supports an additional 55,000 jobs in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the Lone Star State; the company has an annual economic impact of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | approximately $10 billion on the Texas economy; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A civic-minded corporation, Dell Technologies |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | donates about $13 million to Texas charities annually, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | employees donate more than 200,000 volunteer hours to the local |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | community each year; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, As the Dell headquarters has grown, so too has the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | City of Round Rock; corporate sponsorship of the Dell Diamond |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | stadium brought a thriving minor league baseball presence to the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | community, and the company has long supported a growing population |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | by providing technology solutions to businesses, the city |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | government, and the Round Rock Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Dell Technologies and the City of Round Rock are |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | proud of their 25 years of working together to grow a global |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | business and a vibrant community, and they can look forward to a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | future of continued prosperity; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend the executives and staff at Dell |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Technologies in Round Rock for their many contributions to the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | community and the state and congratulate them on the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | headquarters' 25th anniversary; and, be it further |
