| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Students from across the Lone Star State are |

| 3 | 3 | | gathering in Austin on January 28 to take part in the 2019 Texas |

| 4 | 4 | | Capitol Schoolhouse; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This unique program has given Texas students and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | teachers the opportunity to demonstrate to legislators and other |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | state leaders how technology is being used in their schools and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | how it can enhance the learning process; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, During the day, teachers and students are setting |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | up classrooms in the State Capitol, where they will showcase |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | new and innovative technologies they are employing on their |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | campuses; participants will demonstrate their skills in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | such areas as audio and video production, robotics, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | engineering; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A number of talented students are taking part in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | this year's event, representing the Coleman, Coppell, Deer Park, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Denton, Galveston, New Braunfels, Pasadena, Temple, and Ysleta |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Independent School Districts as well as the Texas School for the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Deaf; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Evolving technology continues to improve our |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | lives and the way we learn, and these outstanding young Texans |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | are embracing the 21st-century tools that will help them prepare |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, |
|---|

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby recognize the 2019 Texas Capitol Schoolhouse |

| 27 | 27 | | and commend its participants for their contributions to this |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | exciting event; and, be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
