| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The only naturally occurring lake in Texas, Caddo |

| 6 | 6 | | Lake has been infested since 2006 by giant salvinia, an invasive |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | species of fern that originated in Brazil; the Caddo Biocontrol |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Alliance and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are working |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | to control the species, which blocks sunlight and decreases the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | amount of oxygen in the water, to the detriment of native |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | species; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, There's Something in the Water is an eight-minute |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | animated film featuring interviews with people who live and work |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | on the lake; the film was directed by Rory WT, a London-based |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | animator whose previous work has appeared on the BBC, Adult Swim, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and Nature; it was produced by Shannon Wynne, a Texas |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | restaurateur who purchased a camp on Caddo Lake in 1986, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Stephanie M. Casey, the owner of the Dallas-based marketing and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | communications firm Lovage Inc.; the associate producer is |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Daniel Villanueva, a radio/television/film graduate of the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | University of North Texas and a staffer at Lovage; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The film is an official selection at eight film |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | festivals in the spring of 2019, including the Earth Day Film |

| 24 | 24 | | Festival, the Sonoma International Film Festival, the Thin Line |

| 26 | 26 | | Environmental Film Festival at Yale, the Dallas International |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, This informative, entertaining, and provocative |
