SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 700 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Theodore "Ted" Charles Hake, who is retiring after nearly four decades of outstanding service to the people of Hidalgo County; and WHEREAS, Ted Hake began his long and distinguished career in Hidalgo County in 1979 as an assistant criminal district attorney; throughout his career, he has served in the Appeals Section of the Office of the Criminal District Attorney, and he is retiring as chief of the section; and WHEREAS, A graduate of the Saint Mary's University School of Law, Mr. Hake has diligently represented the state's interests in all facets of post-conviction litigation and in a wide range of cases, including capital crimes; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many duties with exceptional efficiency, dedication, and a thorough knowledge of the law; he has developed and implemented policies to ensure the success of his office, and he has served as a mentor to countless young attorneys; and WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and admired by his colleagues and area citizens, and his presence in the Office of the Criminal District Attorney will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th Legislature, hereby commend Theodore Charles Hake on his exceptional service to the people of Hidalgo County and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
