| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Theodore "Ted" Charles Hake, who is retiring after |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | nearly four decades of outstanding service to the people of |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Hidalgo County; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ted Hake began his long and distinguished career |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | in Hidalgo County in 1979 as an assistant criminal district |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | attorney; throughout his career, he has served in the Appeals |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Section of the Office of the Criminal District Attorney, and he |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | is retiring as chief of the section; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of the Saint Mary's University School |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of Law, Mr. Hake has diligently represented the state's |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | interests in all facets of post-conviction litigation and in a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | wide range of cases, including capital crimes; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he has handled his many |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | duties with exceptional efficiency, dedication, and a thorough |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | knowledge of the law; he has developed and implemented policies |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | to ensure the success of his office, and he has served as a mentor |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | to countless young attorneys; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | admired by his colleagues and area citizens, and his presence in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the Office of the Criminal District Attorney will be greatly |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | missed; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend Theodore Charles Hake on his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | exceptional service to the people of Hidalgo County and extend to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, |
|---|
