| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Grant Wallace Gee, who is retiring from the Office of |

| 4 | 4 | | the Comptroller of Public Accounts after 10 years of outstanding |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | service; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Grant Gee joined the comptroller's office after a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | distinguished, 28-year career in the United States Navy during |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | which he served aboard multiple classes of ships and rose to the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | rank of lieutenant commander; he concluded his career by serving in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the Field Command, Defense Nuclear Agency at Kirtland Air Force |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Base, where he received the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | International Security Assistance Force Medal; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his career in state service, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Mr. Gee was noted for his superior leadership skills and his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | attention to detail; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, He has been a tremendous asset to the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | comptroller's office and has handled his many responsibilities |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Grant Wallace Gee on his exceptional |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him best wishes for |

| 27 | 27 | | continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
