| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Timothy James Scott is retiring from his role as |

| 4 | 4 | | Association of Texas on May 31, 2019, after nearly 22 years of |

| 5 | 5 | | service to that organization; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the association on September 24, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 1997, TJ Scott has earned the admiration of his colleagues, who |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | highly value his knowledge, efficiency, and delightful sense of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | humor; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Born in Normal, Illinois, Mr. Scott later settled |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in the Lone Star State, quickly developing a deep appreciation |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | for its history and culture and becoming a proud Texan; in |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | addition to his professional responsibilities, he is an engaged |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | member of his community and plays an active role in the political |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | process; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his outstanding tenure, |

| 17 | 17 | | Mr. Scott has made significant contributions to advancing the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | mission of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, and he |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | may take well-deserved pride in his exceptional record of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Timothy James Scott on his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | retirement from the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |

| 25 | 25 | | happiness as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; |
