2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

3 | 3 | | recognize Ann Bradford for her generous support of Centers for |
---|
4 | 4 | | Children and Families, Incorporated, and her many contributions |
---|
5 | 5 | | to the community; and |
---|
6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ann Bradford began her longtime career in the |
---|
7 | 7 | | service of vulnerable children and families when she joined the |
---|
8 | 8 | | Department of Public Welfare shortly after her graduation from |
---|
9 | 9 | | Texas Christian University; by the age of 25, she was |
---|
10 | 10 | | supervising caseworkers who were serving families across 10 |
---|
11 | 11 | | Texas counties; she later moved to Midland, and she worked for |
---|
12 | 12 | | eight years as an area administrator with the Texas Department |
---|
13 | 13 | | of Human Services; and |
---|
14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ann served as chief executive officer of the |
---|
15 | 15 | | Centers for Children and Families for 13 years; during her |
---|
16 | 16 | | tenure, the organization expanded its Post Adoption service |
---|
17 | 17 | | provider contract with the Texas Department of Protective and |
---|
18 | 18 | | Regulatory Services to include 188 Texas counties; Ann also |
---|
19 | 19 | | fostered partnerships that led to advanced training |
---|
20 | 20 | | opportunities for caseworkers and practitioners and improved |
---|
21 | 21 | | services for clients, and she spearheaded a successful campaign |
---|
22 | 22 | | to build a new administrative office in Midland that greatly |
---|
23 | 23 | | increased the center's capacity to serve area children and |
---|
24 | 24 | | families; and |
---|
25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated fund-raiser and community ambassador, |
---|
26 | 26 | | Ann Bradford has remained a strong advocate for the Centers for |
---|
27 | 27 | | ChildrenandFamiliessinceherretirement,andsheiscommitted |
---|
28 | 28 | | to continue serving families through her ongoing support of the |
---|
29 | 29 | | organization; a courtyard at the Centers for Children and |
---|
30 | 30 | | Families was recently named in Ann's honor as a tribute to her |
---|
31 | 31 | | many years of outstanding service on the organization's behalf; |
---|
32 | 32 | | now, therefore, be it |

33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
---|
34 | 34 | | Legislature, hereby commend Ann Bradford on her exceptional |
---|
35 | 35 | | career with Centers for Children and Families, Incorporated, and |
---|
36 | 36 | | on her lifelong work on behalf of vulnerable children and extend |
---|
37 | 37 | | to her best wishes in all her future endeavors; and, be it further |
---|
38 | 38 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
