SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 752
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Joziah Garcia of Georgetown on the occasion of his
graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and
WHEREAS, Joziah's graduation is the culmination of
diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge him and
broaden his knowledge; he is celebrating this milestone in
commencement exercises on May 30, 2019; and
WHEREAS, Joziah can take pride in having earned his diploma
from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in
academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality
of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and
WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking student, Joziah
maintained his place on the honor roll throughout his time in
high school while staying active in several groups and
organizations; he has been manager of the basketball team since
his freshman year, and he served as president of the Manos Club
his junior and senior years; he looks forward to pursuing a
career in education; and
WHEREAS, Joziah can face the future with confidence that
his proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired knowledge
will hold him in good stead for whatever vocation he chooses;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Joziah Garcia on his graduation
from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
