| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Joziah Garcia of Georgetown on the occasion of his |

| 4 | 4 | | graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Joziah's graduation is the culmination of |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge him and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | broaden his knowledge; he is celebrating this milestone in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | commencement exercises on May 30, 2019; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joziah can take pride in having earned his diploma |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A talented and hardworking student, Joziah |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | maintained his place on the honor roll throughout his time in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | high school while staying active in several groups and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | organizations; he has been manager of the basketball team since |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | his freshman year, and he served as president of the Manos Club |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | his junior and senior years; he looks forward to pursuing a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | career in education; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Joziah can face the future with confidence that |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | his proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired knowledge |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | will hold him in good stead for whatever vocation he chooses; |

| 23 | 23 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Joziah Garcia on his graduation |

| 26 | 26 | | from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him best wishes |
