| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Alicia Davis is celebrating a special milestone |

| 3 | 3 | | in her life on May 30, 2019, when she graduates from the Texas |

| 4 | 4 | | School for the Deaf in Austin; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A student at the Texas School for the Deaf since |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 2009, Ms. Davis has excelled in both academics and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | extracurricular activities during her time on the campus; her |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | proudest accomplishment was receiving the school's prestigious |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | "Student Worker of the Year Award," and she has also enjoyed |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | having the opportunity to showcase her artistic talents in the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | theater program; in addition, she has distinguished herself as an |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | honor student and served her peers for two years as class |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | secretary; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, After her graduation, Ms. Davis plans to continue |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | her studies at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the Rochester Institute of Technology and to eventually pursue a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | career in the hospitality and tourism industry; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Graduation marks the beginning of a new and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | exciting chapter in Alicia Davis's life, and it is indeed fitting |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | that she be honored for this noteworthy achievement; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Alicia Davis on her graduation |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her sincere best |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | wishes for the future; and, be it further |
