| 5 | 5 | | Texas Southern University on May 17, 2019; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, While attending the Thurgood Marshall School of |

| 7 | 7 | | Law, Courtney has excelled in academics and participated in a |

| 8 | 8 | | variety of organizations, including the Law Journal and the Black |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Law Students Association; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Courtney has demonstrated exceptional abilities |

| 11 | 11 | | and determination in pursuing her goals and has earned top honors |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | at Mock Trial Championship competitions; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her time in law school, Courtney has |

| 14 | 14 | | worked tirelessly and has been a positive example for her family |

| 15 | 15 | | and her community, and her many friends and loved ones are proud |

| 16 | 16 | | of her numerous achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |

| 18 | 18 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Courtney Symone Alexander on |

| 19 | 19 | | her graduation from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Southern University and extend to her best wishes for a bright |
