SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 789
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Milano High School boys track team, which recently
won the Class 2A University Interscholastic League State Track
and Field Championship title; and
WHEREAS, The Milano Eagles were victorious in their recent
appearance at the state championship finals at the Mike A. Myers
Stadium in Austin; and
WHEREAS, The athletes have demonstrated great talent and
perseverance throughout the school year, and team members can
take pride in their outstanding performances; and
WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership of a highly skilled
coaching staff, the Eagles have developed exceptional teamwork
and discipline; and
WHEREAS, Milano High School and the City of Milano are
proud of the Eagles for their hard work, their impressive skills,
and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby commend the Milano High School boys track team
on winning the Class 2A track championship; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
