SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 811
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Seth Rau for his outstanding service to Senator Peter
P. Flores during the 86th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Seth Rau is the director of Legislative Affairs
and Strategic Partnerships for the San Antonio Independent
School District; his service entails working with state and
federal legislators, advocates, partners, and foundations to
determine how the district can improve the lives of students; and
WHEREAS, Prior to moving to Texas, Seth served as the
policy director at Nevada Succeeds, an organization he helped
establish with the aim of improving Nevada schools through
increasing the involvement of the business community; as the
organization's director, he played a significant role in passing
25 key education reforms during the state's 2015 legislative
session; and
WHEREAS, Seth is a trusted advisor to the leadership of the
San Antonio school system, and his expertise has been a true
asset in the crafting of sound public policy that will improve
the lives of citizens throughout the Lone Star State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby commend Seth Rau on his many accomplishments
and his invaluable assistance to Senator Flores during the
legislative session and extend to him best wishes in all his
future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
