| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Seth Rau for his outstanding service to Senator Peter |

| 4 | 4 | | P. Flores during the 86th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Seth Rau is the director of Legislative Affairs |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | and Strategic Partnerships for the San Antonio Independent |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | School District; his service entails working with state and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | federal legislators, advocates, partners, and foundations to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | determine how the district can improve the lives of students; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Prior to moving to Texas, Seth served as the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | policy director at Nevada Succeeds, an organization he helped |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | establish with the aim of improving Nevada schools through |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | increasing the involvement of the business community; as the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | organization's director, he played a significant role in passing |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 25 key education reforms during the state's 2015 legislative |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | session; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Seth is a trusted advisor to the leadership of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | San Antonio school system, and his expertise has been a true |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | asset in the crafting of sound public policy that will improve |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the lives of citizens throughout the Lone Star State; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Seth Rau on his many accomplishments |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and his invaluable assistance to Senator Flores during the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | legislative session and extend to him best wishes in all his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | future endeavors; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
