10 | 10 | | in and grants provided by courts in the judicial branch of state |

11 | 11 | | government; increasing and imposing fees; creating a criminal |

12 | 12 | | offense) to consider and take action on the following matter: |

13 | 13 | | Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee |

14 | 14 | | to add text on a matter not included in either the house or senate |

15 | 15 | | version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to |

16 | 16 | | ARTICLE 13 of the bill: |

17 | 17 | | SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is |

18 | 18 | | amended to read as follows: |

19 | 19 | | (a) The Title IV-D agency may: |

20 | 20 | | (1) charge a reasonable application fee; |
---|
21 | 21 | | (2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and |
---|
22 | 22 | | (3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover |
---|
23 | 23 | | costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case. |
---|
24 | 24 | | Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family |
---|
25 | 25 | | Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged |
---|
26 | 26 | | by the Title IV-D agency. |
