44 SENATE RESOLUTION
55 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
66 Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
77 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
88 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
99 Senate Bill 891 (the operation and administration of and practice
1010 in and grants provided by courts in the judicial branch of state
1111 government; increasing and imposing fees; creating a criminal
1212 offense) to consider and take action on the following matter:
1313 Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee
1414 to add text on a matter not included in either the house or senate
1515 version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to
1616 ARTICLE 13 of the bill:
1717 SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is
1818 amended to read as follows:
1919 (a) The Title IV-D agency may:
2020 (1) charge a reasonable application fee;
2121 (2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and
2222 (3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover
2323 costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case.
2424 Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family
2525 Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged
2626 by the Title IV-D agency.
