5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |

6 | 6 | | citizens of El Paso in mourning the loss of Victor "Trae" Apodaca |
---|
7 | 7 | | III, who died April 23, 2019, at the age of 55; and |
---|
8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born September 5, 1963, Trae Apodaca was an |
---|
9 | 9 | | esteemed member of the community, and he enriched the lives of |
---|
10 | 10 | | all who knew him through his kind nature, his gentle spirit, and |
---|
11 | 11 | | his sincere concern for others; and |
---|
12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Trae demonstrated a desire to help others while |
---|
13 | 13 | | still a young man, and he took great joy in teaching his sister how |
---|
14 | 14 | | to swim and drive a car; his thoughtfulness remained steadfast |
---|
15 | 15 | | throughout his life, and he was noted for actively supporting his |
---|
16 | 16 | | loved ones' professions, interests, and hobbies; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Trae's true passion was in the hospitality |
---|
18 | 18 | | business, and he enjoyed a long career as the owner of Café |
---|
19 | 19 | | Central, a premier upscale restaurant in Downtown El Paso; he |
---|
20 | 20 | | became a local icon of the restaurant industry, and he sold his |
---|
21 | 21 | | establishment in 2009 after 18 years of running the business; he |
---|
22 | 22 | | then entered the bail bond business as the owner and operator of |
---|
23 | 23 | | Apodaca Bail Bonds; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, A loving and supportive family man, Trae shared a |
---|
25 | 25 | | life of devotion with Shirlyn Apodaca, and he was blessed with |
---|
26 | 26 | | three children, who enriched his life immeasurably; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Trae Apodaca cherished time spent with friends |
---|
28 | 28 | | and loved ones, and he was always there for them in times of need; |
---|
29 | 29 | | he was known for his love of family, food, dogs, and good wine, |
---|
30 | 30 | | and he will long be remembered with respect and admiration by all |
---|
31 | 31 | | who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it |
---|
32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th |
---|
33 | 33 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
---|
34 | 34 | | family of Victor Apodaca III; and, be it further |
---|
35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

36 | 36 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |

37 | 37 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
