| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 443, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | adding Section 443.01527 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Sec. 443.01527. REMOVAL OF CERTAIN ITEMS FROM PUBLIC |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | DISPLAY. Not later than December 31, 2021, the board shall remove |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the following items from public display: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (1) the portrait of Albert Sidney Johnson located in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the senate chamber; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (2) the cannons located on the south grounds of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Capitol and near the south entrance to the Capitol building; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (3) the Confederate Soldiers' Monument located on the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | south grounds of the Capitol; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (4) the portrait of Richard William "Dick" Dowling |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | located in the house chamber; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (5) Hood's Texas Brigade Monument located on the east |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | grounds of the Capitol; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (6) the portrait of Jefferson Davis located in the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | senate chamber; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (7) Terry's Texas Rangers Monument located on the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | south grounds of the Capitol. |

| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 2. Section 2165.251(a), Government Code, is amended |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | to read as follows: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (a) The space in the old State Board of Insurance State |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Office Building, located on San Jacinto Street between 11th and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 12th streets in Austin, the Sam Houston Building, and the |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Jackson-Webber [John H. Reagan] Building are allocated to the |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | legislature and legislative agencies for their use. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 3. (a) The state office building located on the |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | south side of 15th Street between Congress Avenue and Colorado |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | Street in Austin, previously known as the John H. Reagan Building, |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | is renamed the Jackson-Webber Building in honor of Nathaniel |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | Jackson and John Webber. |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | (b) As soon as practicable following the effective date of |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | this Act, the Texas Facilities Commission shall implement the name |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | change made by Subsection (a) of this section. |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
