411 AN ACT
512 relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway 198 in
613 Henderson County as the Deputy Sheriff Tony Ogburn and Deputy
714 Sheriff Paul Habelt Memorial Highway.
815 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
916 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
1017 is amended by adding Section 225.190 to read as follows:
1118 Sec. 225.190. DEPUTY SHERIFF TONY OGBURN AND DEPUTY SHERIFF
1219 PAUL HABELT MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 198
1320 in Henderson County between its intersection with the Kaufman
1421 County line and its intersection with State Highway 31 is
1522 designated as the Deputy Sheriff Tony Ogburn and Deputy Sheriff
1623 Paul Habelt Memorial Highway.
1724 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1825 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1926 designation as the Deputy Sheriff Tony Ogburn and Deputy Sheriff
2027 Paul Habelt Memorial Highway and any other appropriate information;
2128 and
2229 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2330 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2431 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
