| 8 | 15 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 16 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |

| 10 | 17 | | is amended by adding Section 225.190 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 18 | | Sec. 225.190. DEPUTY SHERIFF TONY OGBURN AND DEPUTY SHERIFF |
|---|
| 12 | 19 | | PAUL HABELT MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 198 |
|---|
| 13 | 20 | | in Henderson County between its intersection with the Kaufman |
|---|
| 14 | 21 | | County line and its intersection with State Highway 31 is |
|---|
| 15 | 22 | | designated as the Deputy Sheriff Tony Ogburn and Deputy Sheriff |

| 16 | 23 | | Paul Habelt Memorial Highway. |

| 17 | 24 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |

| 18 | 25 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 19 | 26 | | designation as the Deputy Sheriff Tony Ogburn and Deputy Sheriff |
|---|
| 20 | 27 | | Paul Habelt Memorial Highway and any other appropriate information; |

| 21 | 28 | | and |
|---|
| 22 | 29 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 23 | 30 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |

| 24 | 31 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
