| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 301, Government Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 301.073 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 301.073. IMPLICIT BIAS TRAINING. (a) Each house of | |
| 13 | 13 | the legislature shall require each member of that house and each | |
| 14 | 14 | employee of that house to complete training on implicit bias at | |
| 15 | 15 | least once every two years. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) The member or employee shall submit to the applicable | |
| 17 | 17 | house a statement verifying that the member or employee completed | |
| 18 | 18 | the training. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
