| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Sections 2155.067(b) and (f), Government Code, | |
| 10 | 10 | are amended to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (b) The agency head or the presiding officer of the agency's | |
| 12 | 12 | governing body must sign the written justification for the | |
| 13 | 13 | requesting state agency or designate another person to sign the | |
| 14 | 14 | written justification for the agency. | |
| 15 | 15 | (f) On receipt of the written justification and any other | |
| 16 | 16 | documentation required by the comptroller and on approval of the | |
| 17 | 17 | purchase request, the [The] comptroller shall proceed with the | |
| 18 | 18 | purchase for the requesting state agency or delegate to the agency | |
