9+ A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
410 AN ACT
511 relating to annual continuing education requirements for certain
612 court clerks.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Section 51.605, Government Code, is amended by
915 adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
1016 (d) A clerk may carry over from the current calendar year to
1117 the following calendar year not more than 10 hours of completed
1218 continuing education courses that exceed the number of hours of
1319 completed continuing education courses required under Subsection
1420 (c).
1521 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1622 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1723 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1824 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1925 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
