| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Title 6, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is |

| 12 | 12 | | amended by adding Chapter 150B to read as follows: |

| 13 | 13 | | CHAPTER 150B. REQUIREMENTS FOR ACTIONS INVOLVING CERTAIN DEBTS |

| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 150B.0001. VERIFIED ACCOUNTING REQUIRED IN CERTAIN |

| 15 | 15 | | ACTIONS. An applicant for an expedited order allowing foreclosure |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | of a lien on residential real property under Rule 736, Texas Rules |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of Civil Procedure, a petitioner in an action for judicial |

| 18 | 18 | | foreclosure of a lien on residential real property, or a claimant |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | seeking recovery in an action on a consumer credit account must file |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with the application, petition, or pleading a verified accounting |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | of: |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (1) the balance due on the account; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (2) each payment made on the account; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (3) the total and final principal amount on the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | account. |

| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 2. Section 150B.0001, Civil Practice and Remedies |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Code, as added by this Act, applies only to an action that commences |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
