9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Chapter 46, Penal Code, is amended by adding | |
11 | 11 | Section 46.051 to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 46.051. MANUFACTURE OF FIREARMS WITHOUT LICENSE | |
13 | 13 | PROHIBITED. (a) A person who does not possess a federal license to | |
14 | 14 | manufacture firearms commits an offense if the person intentionally | |
15 | 15 | or knowingly manufactures a firearm. | |
16 | 16 | (b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. | |
17 | 17 | (c) If conduct that constitutes an offense under this | |
18 | 18 | section also constitutes an offense under any other law, the actor | |
19 | 19 | may be prosecuted under this section, the other law, or both. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
