| 10 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 493, Government Code, is amended by |

| 11 | 13 | | adding Section 493.034 to read as follows: |

| 12 | 14 | | Sec. 493.034. INFORMATION ON CLASSES AND PROGRAMS REQUIRED |

| 13 | 15 | | FOR RELEASE ON PAROLE. The department shall publish on the |

| 14 | 16 | | department's Internet website the information required under |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | Section 508.056. |

| 16 | 18 | | SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 508, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | amended by adding Section 508.056 to read as follows: |

| 18 | 20 | | Sec. 508.056. INFORMATION ON CLASSES AND PROGRAMS REQUIRED |

| 19 | 21 | | FOR RELEASE ON PAROLE. The board shall publish on the board's |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | Internet website the following information for each class or |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | program that the board requires an inmate to complete before |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | releasing the inmate on parole: |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | (1) qualifications and relevant certifications of any |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | instructor for the class or program; |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | (2) completion rates of the class or program; |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | (3) accommodations made for inmates with disabilities |
|---|
| 27 | 29 | | and inmates whose primary language is not English to ensure that |
|---|
| 28 | 30 | | those inmates are able to fully participate in the class or program; |
|---|
| 29 | 31 | | (4) methods used to assess inmates for participation |
|---|
| 30 | 32 | | in the class or program; |
|---|
| 31 | 33 | | (5) results of independent evaluations, if any are |
|---|
| 32 | 34 | | used by the board when determining whether to require the class or |
|---|
| 33 | 35 | | program; and |
|---|
| 34 | 36 | | (6) whether the class or program is provided by the |
|---|
| 35 | 37 | | department or a private vendor. |
|---|
| 36 | 38 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
