This bill would amend the Election Code relating to identification requirements for early voting by mail. Under the provisions of the bill, the requirements for early voting by mail would be expanded to include provisions for validating the identity of the voter. The Secretary of State indicates the modifications outlined in the bill's provisions would not result in a significant fiscal impact. This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
