| 7 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 8 | 14 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 9 | 15 | is amended by adding Section 225.190 to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 16 | Sec. 225.190. BASCOM W. BENTLEY III MEMORIAL LOOP. (a) | |
| 11 | 17 | State Loop 256 in the city of Palestine is designated as the Bascom | |
| 12 | 18 | W. Bentley III Memorial Loop. | |
| 13 | 19 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 14 | 20 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 15 | 21 | designation as the Bascom W. Bentley III Memorial Loop and any | |
| 16 | 22 | other appropriate information; and | |
| 17 | 23 | (2) erect a marker at appropriate sites along the | |
| 18 | 24 | loop. | |
| 19 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | |
