| 7 | 14 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 8 | 15 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | |
| 9 | 16 | amended by adding Section 662.079 to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 17 | Sec. 662.079. INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY. (a) | |
| 11 | 18 | January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day to | |
| 12 | 19 | commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of | |
| 13 | 20 | Auschwitz-Birkenau and to honor the millions of victims of the | |
| 14 | 21 | Holocaust. | |
| 15 | 22 | (b) International Holocaust Remembrance Day may be | |
| 16 | 23 | regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities. | |
| 17 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | |
