A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to state agency information on child-care services
available to veterans and their families.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 434, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 434.109 to read as follows:
Sec. 434.109. CHILD-CARE SERVICES INFORMATION. (a) In
this section, "state agency" includes an institution of higher
education as defined by Section 61.003, Education Code.
(b) A state agency that provides services to veterans shall
post on the agency's Internet website and provide in printed
materials information on child-care services available to veterans
and their families.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
