| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 32.024, Human Resources Code, is amended | |
| 10 | 10 | by adding Subsection (oo) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (oo) The commission shall provide medical assistance | |
| 12 | 12 | reimbursement to a treating health care provider who participates | |
| 13 | 13 | in Medicaid for the provision to a child or adult medical assistance | |
| 14 | 14 | recipient of behavioral health services that are classified by a | |
| 15 | 15 | Current Procedural Terminology code as collaborative care | |
| 16 | 16 | management services. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. If before implementing any provision of this Act | |
| 18 | 18 | a state agency determines that a waiver or authorization from a | |
| 19 | 19 | federal agency is necessary for implementation of that provision, | |
| 20 | 20 | the agency affected by the provision shall request the waiver or | |
| 21 | 21 | authorization and may delay implementing that provision until the | |
| 22 | 22 | waiver or authorization is granted. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
