| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 35, Utilities Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 35.0025 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 35.0025. WEATHER EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS. The | |
| 13 | 13 | commission by rule shall require each provider of generation in the | |
| 14 | 14 | ERCOT power region to implement measures to prepare the provider's | |
| 15 | 15 | generation facilities to provide adequate electric generation | |
| 16 | 16 | service during a winter weather emergency. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
