                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             May 12, 2021       TO: Honorable Kelly Hancock, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB3130 by Capriglione (Relating to state agency contracts for Internet application development.), As Engrossed     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Section 2054.113(c) of the Government Code to require agencies to notify the Department of Information Resources (DIR) of its intent to bid with a third-party for development of native mobile applications which duplicates a function of the state electronic Internet portal. Based on the analysis provided by the Department of Information Resources, it is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
