| 13 | 13 | The Texas Department of Criminal Justice shall allow a condemned | |
| 14 | 14 | person to choose a spiritual leader of the religion that the person | |
| 15 | 15 | practices to be present in the room during the person's execution. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
