| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 418, Government Code, is |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | amended by adding Section 418.059 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Sec. 418.059. PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION REQUIRED. (a) |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Each city manager, mayor, county judge, and director of a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | municipality's or county's local health department shall submit to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the division the person's contact information to be used during a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | declared state of disaster or in other times of public emergency. |

| 18 | 18 | | (b) Information submitted under this section is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | confidential and exempt from disclosure under Chapter 552. |

| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. Subchapter D, Chapter 121, Health and Safety |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Code, is amended by adding Section 121.035 to read as follows: |

| 22 | 22 | | Sec. 121.035. PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION REQUIRED. (a) |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Each city manager, mayor, and county judge shall submit to the local |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | health department of the municipality or county, as applicable, in |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | which the person serves as the city manager, mayor, or county judge, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the person's contact information to be used during a declared state |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of disaster or in other times of public emergency. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (b) Information submitted under this section is |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | confidential and exempt from disclosure under Chapter 552, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Government Code. |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | SECTION 3. Not later than January 1, 2022, a person required |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | to submit information under Section 418.059, Government Code, as |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | added by this Act, or Section 121.035, Health and Safety Code, as |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | added by this Act, shall submit the information as required by those |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | sections. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
