This bill would amend Sections 478.0001(3) and (7) of the Government Code to include the Ladies Professional Golf Association, the Professional Golfers' Association Championship, the Ryder Cup, and the Senior Professional Golfers' Association Championship as events that are eligible for funding under the Major Events Reimbursement Program. The bill would also amend statute to add the Ladies Professional Golf Association and the Professional Golfers' Association of America to the list of site selection organizations. According to the Office of the Governor, the fiscal impact of the bill to the state cannot be determined without information from the event organizers' application.
