410 AN ACT
511 relating to the number of baccalaureate degree programs certain
612 public junior colleges may offer.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Section 130.306(a), Education Code, is amended
915 to read as follows:
1016 (a) A public junior college offering a baccalaureate degree
1117 program under this subchapter [Section 130.303(a)] may not offer
1218 more than five baccalaureate degree programs at any time.
1319 SECTION 2. Section 130.306(b), Education Code, is repealed.
1420 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1521 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1622 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1723 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1824 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
