7 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

8 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 130.306(a), Education Code, is amended |
---|
9 | 15 | | to read as follows: |
---|
10 | 16 | | (a) A public junior college offering a baccalaureate degree |
---|
11 | 17 | | program under this subchapter [Section 130.303(a)] may not offer |
---|
12 | 18 | | more than five baccalaureate degree programs at any time. |
---|
13 | 19 | | SECTION 2. Section 130.306(b), Education Code, is repealed. |
---|
14 | 20 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
---|
15 | 21 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
---|
16 | 22 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
---|
17 | 23 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
---|
18 | 24 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
